I'm not going to go into detail about ho much spare time I have, but yesterday I was reading a dictionary and came across an explanation of why we use the word "love" in tennis to describe zero points.

Although after a little more research this seems in doubt, what I read was that love is an Americanization of the French word "L'euf" meaning egg (which is what a 0 kin of looks like right?). 

Even if it didn't come from the French, people seem to agree it is from Americans mispronouncing the original (which is also perhaps Dutch).

It is pretty cool to be in Pittsburgh to see how a city can really love a football team and how the team shows it love back. Coming from San Diego, I've seen my team in the big game, but you can tell that most of the fans are just fair weather fans. That isn't the case here in the 'Burgh. There is more excitement about a pre-season game here than in play-off game in San Diego. (On a side note, Sundays are typically great days to go to the mall to go shopping.)

As for the game, it was great. This has to be one of (if not the) best Super Bowls that I can remember. It was an amazing fourth quarter. A game that came down to the final 5 seconds. Awesome.

On the topic great plays, James Harrison's 100-yard interception was amazing, but the action that caused his unsportsmanlike conduct was pretty horrible. He really should have been ejected from the game.

For my 30th Birthday (which isn't actually for a while) my kind brother bought Jenny and I two tickets to the Chargers vs. Steelers Playoff Game in Pittsburgh. Growing up in San Diego, we were both Chargers fans but after living in Pittsburgh for a couple of years, we have been warming up to the Steelers. For instance, last when I played Madden on my XBox, I played as the Chargers. This year played as the Steelers. So while the playoff game between the two of them is great it is also presents a dilemma.

As you can see we decided to root for the Chargers. The logic is pretty much that the Steelers have plenty of support here, but the Chargers, well they really need some support.

At the end of the game, we had some good news, out team won. The bad news, it was our new team. Go STEELERS!!! R.I.P. Chargers.

On a side note, since we are moving to the D.C. area in June and are planning on living in Maryland we reserve the right to root for Baltimore should the need arise next week.
